THINGS TO DO TO PREPARE:
3.-HOMEWORK
For Day One
10 images from your commercial work (weddings or other paid jobs-this can be from a combination of different jobs)
10 images from your personal work (this can be from more than one project)
10 images from photo history or other art that inspires you
Please print these out on 8 x 10 paper if you can. It does not have to be high quality or anything fancy. We just need to be able to spread them around the table.
For Day Two
You will need a digital or instant camera (maybe even just your phone). If possible, please also bring your laptop to be able to quickly download, edit and share the photos you’ve created.
For Day Three
The primary focus of our last day is storytelling. We want to stimulate imagination and explore the impact that can be created by sequencing images in an intentional way and finding unique connections between them.
For this day, we would encourage you to prepare a broader edit - up to 30 printed images (can be in smaller size, 4x6 or 5x7, most cost effective, cheap prints). These images may, but do not have to, overlap with the work you would have shared on day 1.
They can be from one project (a wedding or personal) or a mix.
We will also use day three for private one-on-one reviews with the instructors as well as peer reviews.
Lastly, please come prepared with questions - these can be questions for us or questions you have for yourself that you need help answering.
We know this is a lot of homework, but we want to hit the ground running and dive right into it. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
